These vintage Halloween witches range from scary to sweet to beautiful, so there’s a little something for everyone. To make the images even more festive, the witches are accompanied by bats, birds, pumpkins, black cats, goblins and all the other iconic symbols of the holiday. some of these vintage witches were painted by Ellen Hattie Clapsaddle, the most prolific greeting card artist of the vintage (and maybe any) era. Free Vintage Father’s Day Greeting Cards

It’s time to celebrate Father’s Day and honor dear old Dad, so here are some free vintage greeting cards he’s sure to love. Since there aren’t a lot of actual vintage Father’s Day cards available, I’ve provided some cards that weren’t originally meant to be used for the holiday but would make good Father’s Day cards anyway. You can either use them as is or combine them with your own message to create custom cards you couldn’t get anywhere else.

Free Vintage Art Memorial Day and Veterans Day Greeting Cards

It’s not traditional to send patriotic cards to US military veterans for Memorial Day or Veterans Day, but there’s no reason not to begin that tradition right now.

In March 2008, the 4,000th American was pronounced dead in the Iraq war. That means you might even know people who recently gave their lives for their country. So why not send our surviving veterans or the relatives of someone killed in the war one of the authentic old-fashioned cards, either as an e-card or on the front of a postcard or greeting card? (You also can use these designs as clip art or to make iron-on transfers for clothes.)

No matter how you feel about war, it’s the least we can do to say thank you for those who put themselves in harm’s way.

Free Vintage Mother’s Day Clip Art

I’m not sure there’s such a thing as vintage Mother’s Day clip art created exclusively for Mother’s Day, at least not that I’ve seen. But much like vintage birthday cards for women, it’s pretty easy to find images that will fill the bill. So I’ve chosen an assortment of floral vintage clip art, as well as images of women (their hands at least) and children. I even embellished one piece of flower clip art with the words “Happy Mother’s Day,” in case you absolutely have to have clip art that is just for this holiday.

I chose each of these free vintage clip art images for a reason. I couldn’t resist the turquoise boot, although I’m sure the Victorian woman who had to wear boots like that probably had chronically sore feet. I chose the various hands because of their elegance and how they symbolize Mom’s loving care without even showing all of her. I picked the children due to the adorable factor and because a mom obviously wouldn’t be a mom without children. And last but not least, I chose the flowers just because the colors make me happy.

I hope you’ll find a few favorites among these images and that you (and your mom) enjoy them in good health!

This eclectic collection of free vintage Easter clip art has a little something for everyone. Even if you don’t celebrate Easter for spiritual reasons, there’s plenty of joy to be had at Easter time. The holiday’s arrival is synonymous with spring and renewal — whether you choose to see that renewal embodied in the resurrection of Jesus Christ or just the melting of snow and appearance of Easter bunnies, flowers and baby chicks that happens every spring.
