You’ve got to feel sorry for turkeys on Thanksgiving. What a bum rap. But rather than go on and on about the plight of the poor Thanksgiving turkeys, I’d rather just honor them by providing these beautiful vintage Thanksgiving cards that feature illustrations of them in their full glory. I had plenty of vintage Thanksgiving cards that featured dead, cooked or in-the-process-of-being-hunted turkeys, but I opted for those who still had their feathers intact.

It’s a little hard to peg the original dates on these free downloadable vintage Thanksgiving cards, but they definitely fall into the vintage category. I hope you enjoy them!

Free Vintage Thanksgiving Clip Art

I love Thanksgiving! Not only does the weather finally cool off down here in South Florida, but there’s just a lovely vibe to the holiday. With its focus on family, home and hearth — along with some football and a major parade — it’s a joy. This vintage Thanksgiving clip art reflects that feeling.

Speaking of a parade (how’s that for a segue?), my niece will be performing this Thanksgiving with the South Florida Special Needs Color Guard in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The color guard incorporates an inspiring group of developmentally disabled people of all ages. They usually get standing ovations when they perform because people are so blown away by what they’re able to accomplish. You can read more about them on my contemporary Thanksgiving clip art hub.
