Can you believe that it’s almost time for another new year? No matter how you might feel about the swift passage of time (at least it seems incredibly swift to me), you’ve got to love these vintage New Year cards. Unlike vintage Christmas cards, which have pretty predictable themes; the subjects portrayed on these New Year’s cards vary widely. In addition to the expected champagne, clocks, and good-luck four-leaf clovers and horseshoes; there are cats, angels, pansies, birds, country scenes, blue Delft tiles and even an elf or two.

Free Vintage Flowers Clip Art

Free Vintage Mother’s Day Clip Art

I’m not sure there’s such a thing as vintage Mother’s Day clip art created exclusively for Mother’s Day, at least not that I’ve seen. But much like vintage birthday cards for women, it’s pretty easy to find images that will fill the bill. So I’ve chosen an assortment of floral vintage clip art, as well as images of women (their hands at least) and children. I even embellished one piece of flower clip art with the words “Happy Mother’s Day,” in case you absolutely have to have clip art that is just for this holiday.

I chose each of these free vintage clip art images for a reason. I couldn’t resist the turquoise boot, although I’m sure the Victorian woman who had to wear boots like that probably had chronically sore feet. I chose the various hands because of their elegance and how they symbolize Mom’s loving care without even showing all of her. I picked the children due to the adorable factor and because a mom obviously wouldn’t be a mom without children. And last but not least, I chose the flowers just because the colors make me happy.

I hope you’ll find a few favorites among these images and that you (and your mom) enjoy them in good health!

Free Vintage Birthday Cards

Many of these vintage birthday cards feature vintage roses, which never grow old as far as I’m concerned. Some of them also have other vintage flowers, as well as country scenes, lakes and more than a few well-wishing doves. As with many of the other vintage art images on this site, the workmanship is impeccable. (I can say that, because I didn’t paint them!) I’m sure any of your friends or family members would be delighted to receive one of these as a special birthday tribute.

Free Printable Vintage Birthday Cards

When it comes to honoring a birthday, you can’t beat these vintage free printable birthday cards. Not that there’s anything wrong with modern birthday cards; they’re great. But sometimes it’s just nice to summon up the feeling of yesteryear.

These cards convey both an elegance and a sense of whimsy, which I’m sure will be appreciated by the recipients. And to make them even more special, try adding just a touch of glitter glue to embellish them. But don’t use a lot or the card stock might warp and the colors might run. You don’t need much to achieve a nice effect anyway. Just small dabs on highlighted areas can make a big difference.

It’s summertime as I write this, so the flowers are in bloom. The vintage roses below, however, are always in bloom — even though most are decades old. These beautiful vintage free clip art roses span from the Victorian era to the mid-twentieth century, and they’re just as beautiful now as the day they were created.
